Project Management Skills Bootcamp
September 22nd – December 15th 2026
13‑week programme designed to help adults build practical project management capability and progress into project‑focused roles.
About Skills Bootcamps
Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible training programmes designed to help adults build the skills employers are looking for. They offer a clear pathway for unemployed individuals, career changers and those looking to progress in their current field.
Our Staffordshire Skills Bootcamps are funded by the Department of Work & Pensions and open to all types of learners, including unemployed and self-employed individuals, and those in full or part time employment looking to upskill. Employers often utilise Skills Bootcamps to train existing staff through the funding support available.
Designed to fit around work and life commitments, each Bootcamp provides practical, job‑focused learning that supports adults in gaining new skills, moving into employment, or advancing their career.
This Skills Bootcamp builds practical, real‑world project management skills for anyone supporting or delivering projects in a corporate setting. Over 13 weeks, learners will develop capability in project lifecycles, governance, planning and scheduling, stakeholder engagement, communication, resource management, risk and issue control, change management, project monitoring and project closure.
Running from September 22nd to December 15th, the programme blends structured learning with hands‑on practice. Learners will take part in weekly live online classes (every Tuesday) and should expect to commit some additional independent study and project work outside the weekly classes to successfully finish the Bootcamp.
To participate, learners need access to a laptop or desktop computer, a stable internet connection and basic office software. No prior project management experience is required, all tools and techniques are introduced during the programme.
Assessment is based on completing a full project documentation portfolio and completion of exams.
The Bootcamp is designed for adults who want to develop practical project management skills that can be applied immediately in the workplace. It suits career changers, early‑career professionals, team leaders, and anyone responsible for planning or delivering projects.
It’s also suitable for self‑employed individuals who manage client work and want a more structured approach. Learners interested in exploring project management further can read more about project management roles or core project skills.
